camille yameen is a palestinian-american publicist turned peace corps volunteer turned public speaker turned poet. she grew up near kansas city, missouri and studied communications at bradley university where she became a national champion in public speaking. she began her communications career in las vegas. after a while, she traded her office space for open countryside, red carpets for dirt roads, and ran away to africa to serve in the peace corps in madagascar. she came back to a world that was full and empty and confusing. so she traveled the country as a youth motivational speaker and presented before tens of thousands of students about leadership, bravery, and adventure. soon after, she dove back into communications, this time in the not-for-profit sector. all this time, she wrote. and wrote. and wrote. and wrote. and wrote.
